Volunteer Sports Journalist (Student/Fresh Graduate) — StreetBall NG
StreetBall NG, Nigeria’s first dedicated grassroots football coverage platform, is looking for young, vibrant, and passionate individuals – currently in school or recent graduates – to join our team as volunteer sports journalists covering Lagos grassroots football.
This is a great opportunity to build a portfolio, gain real byline credit, and grow within Nigeria’s grassroots football media space.
We’re looking for someone who can demonstrate:
- Technical knowledge — a genuine interest in and understanding of football, especially the grassroots scene
- Discipline — reliability and consistency in delivering content on schedule, even while balancing school or other commitments
- Communication skills — clear, engaging writing that connects with football fans, academies, and scouts
- Sports development interest/experience — some exposure to or passion for grassroots/youth football development is a plus
What you’ll be doing:
Covering Lagos grassroots football — match reports, player and academy features, and tournament updates — and contributing to StreetBall NG’s growing editorial presence.
